Hagrid Prenoob Joined: 18:28:38 Messages: 17 Offline Hello, I just downloaded the full version of Studio One to record from my Yamaha MG166CX-USB mixer on my iMac running OSX10.8.2. However, I cannot get Studio One to see any audio coming from the mixer. My mixer is connected by USB to my iMac. I selected the USB Audio CODEC in Studio One as the Audio Device. When I select the USB Audio CODEC as my input source in the Mac's Sound control panel it sees audio coming from the mixer. So as mentioned, no matter what I try I cannot get Studio One to see the audio.

I've tried adding tracks and recorded but I just don't get anything. I would have expected to see activity on track's level meter, but just don't see anything. Any help would be appreciated. I also noticed that Yamaha has a current UBS driver for OSX 10.8.2. Does anyone know if I have to install the driver? Thanks, Hagrid iMac, Yamaha MG 166cx-USB Mixer, Presonus Studio One. I would install the driver and then see if your yamaha device shows up named as the yamaha device. Also you need to choose your audio interface within Studio One itself in the preferences. Firefox 19 for mac download free.

When you are doing that you will notice on the bottom left of that window that 'Options' is high-lighted in blue. Right beside that you will see 'Song Setup', you will need to click on that and setup your inputs and outputs. These are just some things I can think of to try without actually seeing what you are doing. Add an Aggregate Device using the + sign on the window. Select the device to beaggregated and/or combined.

Click Done' 6. Aggregate Device can now be selected inAudio/MIDI Setup.

NOTE: Aggregating devices as described in this example will allowthe use of both of Apples USB codecs for recording and playback. One codec will be used for recording and the other for playback. The digital audio workstation software will now be able to select the Aggregate Device Driver inthe audio driver set up window.
